Nobel Prize in Literature goes to Hungarian author Laszlo Krasznahorkai

Nobel Prize in Literature 2025: In a significant update, the Nobel Prize 2025 in Literature has been awarded to Laszlo Krasznahorkai. Notably, Laszlo Krasznahorkai is an Hungarian author. He has been awarded the Nobel Prize 2025  for his "compelling and visionary oeuvre that, in the midst of apocalyptic terror, reaffirms the power of art.”

Some of his popular works includes "Satantango" and "The Melancholy of Resistance." Notably, films were also made into films by Hungarian director Bela Tarr. His outstanding works received praised by the Nobel judges for his "artistic gaze which is entirely free of illusion, and which sees through the fragility of the social order combined with his unwavering belief in the power of art."

Earlier, also he has received many awards which includes 2015 Man Booker International Prize. While praising his work, the Booker judges said, "extraordinary sentences, sentences of incredible length that go to incredible lengths, their tone switching from solemn to madcap to quizzical to desolate as they go their wayward way."

It is worthy to be mentioned here that the Nobel prize is the prestigius award awarded to the one with exemplary performance in the field.

Notably, this is the fourth award to be announced this week, This week, 2025 Nobels prize in medicine, physics and chemistry were also awarded.

Nobel Peace Prize to be announced on this day

All eyes will be on the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize as it will be announced on Friday. Meanwhile, the final Nobel prize i.e., the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, will be declared on Monday.
